Covid-19 Policy
To ensure the safety of your family and mine, I have implemented some new measures to mitigate any risk from Covid-19.
Pre-and post-shoot consultations
I am temporarily replacing in-person consultations with telephone and video consultations. In practice, this will mean:

Carrying out your pre-shoot consultation over the phone or via video call

Holding your photo reveal session via video conferencing, and/or sending you an online proofing gallery
If you wish to purchase printed products or wall art, I will bring sample products with me on the day of your shoot.
Covid-19 symptoms
I will contact you the day before your session to confirm that nobody in your family is displaying the following symptoms:

A high temperature – meaning that you feel hot to touch on your chest or back

A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, experiencing three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours, or (in the case of an existing cough) coughing more than usual

A loss of or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means either that you cannot smell or taste anything, or that things smell or taste different to normal
I also ask that you let me know if anyone in your family has been in contact with someone with the virus.
Rescheduling
If anyone in your family is displaying Covid-19 symptoms, or has come into contact with someone with the virus, you can reschedule your session free of charge.
If I am displaying Covid-19 symptoms, or have come into contact with someone with the virus, you can choose to reschedule or cancel your session (and in the latter case receive a full refund of your session fee).
In-home photo shoots
Until further notice, I have suspended in-home photo shoots. In practice, this will only affect newborn shoots.
If you would like a newborn photo shoot, there is the option of carrying this out in an alternative format outdoors. Further details are available on request.
Outdoor photo shoots
I shoot the majority of my family and pet photo sessions outdoors. I also use a telephoto lens, which usually requires me to be several metres away from my subjects.
As a result, I have assessed the Covid-19 risk at my photo shoots to be low. Notwithstanding this, I am taking additional precautions as follows:

I will clean all photographic equipment prior to my arrival

I will travel to the shoot location in my own car, and not take public transport

I will use hand sanitiser on arrival, where necessary during the session, and on departure

We will keep a safe distance (2m)

In the unlikely event that social distancing isn’t possible, or we need to use an enclosed space, I will wear a face covering
Government guidelines
I will adhere to the government rules and guidelines in force at the time of your photo shoot.
At present, this means that I can only shoot individual households.
If government guidance changes, the arrangements for your photo shoot may also need to change. If it is not possible to carry out your shoot on the arranged date due to a change in guidance, I will give you the option of rescheduling or cancelling it (and in the latter case, you will receive a full refund of your session fee).
