The Spring Sessions 2020
Spring is a wonderful time of the year. The days grow longer, the weather becomes warmer, and new life bursts from the ground. With this new life comes a beautiful palette of long-awaited colour: calming greens, soft purples, delicate whites and soothing yellows. This colour provides the ideal backdrop for spring photo shoots - creating images that are the perfect complement to light and airy interiors.
This year I’m releasing just four spring photo shoot sessions, suitable for pets or families.
Why so few sessions?
Client relationships matter to me. A lot. That’s why I invest time getting to know each client, and finding out what they’re hoping to achieve from their photo shoot. It’s why my shoots are relaxed and unhurried and why my involvement doesn’t end until my clients have their finished products in their hands. All of this takes time – and I want to make sure that there’s plenty of it for every client.
Then there’s the question of light. My family and pet photo shoots take place outdoors, against the backdrop of beautiful spring scenes. The most striking spring portraits are bathed in soft golden light: something that can only be achieved in good weather, and at certain times of the day. While I can’t guarantee good weather, limiting the number of photo shoots provides the flexibility to chase the best light for each one.
Is a spring session for you?
Here are some key pieces of information to help you decide whether my spring photo sessions are for you:
The photo shoots will take place between mid-April and mid-May, with exact dates to be confirmed nearer the time
The location is likely to be in the South Somerset or East Devon area
I specialise in creating printed products that are ready to display
I usually schedule my shoots to take place during the two hours before sunset. In the spring, this will fall between about 6 and 9pm
The session fee for my spring photo shoots is £99 weekdays, and £149 weekends/Bank Holidays. This fee does not include any products or digital files – after your shoot, you choose how to display your images in a way that’s perfect for you
